| Latin Rhythms | Wednesdays at 8:45-9:45 am in the Palm Room, SCCC (begins Sept. 3rd) |

| A Caribbean mix of fun, movement, music and dance. You decide how vigorous you want your hour of dancing to be, as you move your hips and feet to the Rumba, Mambo, Cha Cha and Merengue. You’ll learn the steps, the rhythms, the tempos and the secret to that sultry Latin Motion! Come and join our weekly party that promises to be so much fun, you may not even notice your getting a great low impact workout. |

| Class taught by Audrey Knerler, a dance and ballroom expert since the early 80's. |
ABOUT AUDREY 
| Audrey began her ballroom career in the early 80’s after winning an audition for would-be dance instructors at Starr Dance Studio on Long Island. After she received her training from a ballroom professional who was himself a student of the legendary Fred Astaire, she was invited to stay on as a fulltime teacher at Starr Dance. Within months, she was managing the studio while she taught private and group ballroom classes eventually coached professional dancers. She also performed at various events and night clubs, until she moved to New York City in 1985 where she freelanced as a teacher and choreographer at colleges, fitness centers, dance studios and ‘The New School.’ While in New York, she also performed at events, theaters and night clubs, including the Rainbow Room. |

| Adult Fit | Fridays at 8:45-9:45 am in the Palm Room, SCCC |

| This class will allow you to have fun while developing muscular strength, increasing range of movement, and improving one’s overall quality of life. |
| Equipment recommended but not required are: a Yoga/Pilates Mat (or large beach towel), a large stability ball, an exercise band, various sets of dumbbells. |

| Bev brings a new style and expertise to the Friday morning class. Bev has been teaching strength training throughout her 15 year fitness career. She brings to Spruce Creek Fitness her experience with Silver Sneakers, a specialized program for active older adults, and Pilates. |
| Essential Yoga | Wednesdays at 6:30-7:45 pm, 2004 Country Club Drive |

| A training class that teaches Yoga as well as provides the opportunity to practice yoga. Certain postures will be broken down so that you can really “learn” them inside and out. There will also be an emphasis and instruction on breath and relaxation/meditation in this class. This class will lay a foundation for your yoga practice whether you are brand new to yoga or whether you have been practicing for a while but need to build a stronger foundation to work with. |

| Water Aerobics | Seasonal Only: May - October Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:00-9:00 am in the Country Club Pool, SCCC, |

| This class combines aerobic activity and strength training all in the water. Exercising in the water reduces impact and stresses on the body. An excellent exercise for participants with back, bone or joint problems. |
| | Equipment recommended but not required are: a water noodle and an exercise band. |

| Class will be taught by Beverly Burke, a group instructor with more than 15 years experience working with older adults in the water. |
ABOUT BEV | Bev is originally from Sydney Australia, where she started her fitness career and earned her first of many fitness certifications. Bev moved to New York in 1992 where she got married to her husband Don. They now have 3 boys, Ryan, Trent, and Jake. In New York she also decided to continue her fitness education and studies through AFAA to earn her Group Exercise and Fitness Certification, Personal Trainer Certification, and Aqua Aerobics Certification. Bev also has certifications in Senior Fitness and Kickboxing. Bev and her family moved about 2 years ago to Florida because Bev really missed the sunshine. It has been a great move for their family. She now works as a Personal Trainer and teaches many classes in a number of local gyms. |
